TPO Product Specialist

About the Role

Surge is an AI-first software and data company serving the wholesale mortgage lending space. We run Partner360, a partner relationship management platform with a ten-year production history and a six-year zero-outage record, built on proprietary mortgage-industry data that nobody else can assemble. We recently entered a new chapter under new ownership, and we are building the team that takes us through our next phase of growth.

We are hiring an in-house expert on how wholesale lenders and their partners operate. You will turn deep domain knowledge into product value: features we build, business processes we support, and how we communicate about our value. You will also be a key voice with our customers and during the sales process, building confidence for all stakeholders. The best person here grows from talking with customers about what they need into guiding the solutions that serve them.

What You Will Own

Domain Expertise

• Speak with authority on wholesale and TPO operations, workflows, and compliance
• Keep us ahead of how the TPO market and its requirements are changing
• Serve as the internal source of truth on how lenders run third party origination

Product Definition

• Translate how TPO lenders operate into clear product requirements & processes
• Work with product and engineering to shape the roadmap and prioritize what matters
• Pressure test features against real lender workflows before and after we build them

Customer and Market Credibility

• Bring domain credibility to customer conversations and the sales process
• Support key customer discussions, including product and reporting conversations
• Gather and synthesize customer feedback into clear product direction

What We Are Looking For

• Deep experience in wholesale lending or third party origination, from a lender, TPO operation, or compliance background
• Strong understanding of how brokers, correspondents, and wholesale lenders work together
• A product mindset: you think in features, processes, and outcomes
• Able to translate between business needs and product and engineering teams
• Excellent communication skills, verbally, in writing, and visually
• A real appetite for AI tools and modern workflows
• Software, fintech and compliance experience a plus
